Cuevas Barrio Las Santas, located in the picturesque town of Huéscar in the province of Granada, Spain, offers visitors a unique opportunity to experience traditional cave houses. The concept of cave houses, or "cuevas," has centuries-old roots in this region, making them an integral part of the local culture and architecture. These dwellings were originally built in response to the geographical and climatic conditions of the area, offering natural insulation against heat in the summer and cold in the winter.

The complex consists of several cave houses, each of which has been carefully designed to guarantee privacy and tranquility.

The cave houses offer you comfort, peace (inside the cave you can sleep through the entire day without realizing what time of day it is), and yet also all the good things of the city of Huescar, which you can reach at a short distance, 2 km, and with, for example, one of the city's best restaurants (Alkadima) just a 2-minute walk from the complex.

These cave houses are a wonderful shelter for stays in all seasons of the year. They offer coolness in the summer and a cozy warm place in the winter, especially since every cave is equipped with a wood stove and has its own unique layout.

For couples, we have the smallest romantic cave, La Calma, available, or a slightly larger one to enjoy a wonderful cozy time together.

For families and/or groups of friends, we offer larger cave houses, complete with multiple bedrooms and spacious living areas. These fully equipped homes provide to families and groups, the opportunity to prepare meals together in charming kitchens with a rustic design.

Groups of friends can also enjoy the flexibility of combined cave houses. For example, the shared courtyard offers space to eat together and use our BBQ and pizza oven, relax, and enjoy the tranquility together, all just 2.1 kilometers from the center of Huescar.

There are multiple spots on the complex to sit, such as the two higher terraces, a lovely covered terrace with a beautiful view of the city of Huescar, or in one of our hanging chairs.
